Here we go, the holidays are coming to an end. This is the second year you’ve stayed at the Cloître des Dominicains in Buis-les-Baronnies. Just like last year, you enjoyed the peace and serenity of the place in your comfortable studio. This time, you’ve decided to bring back a few souvenirs while waiting to return next year to try a hiking and wellness stay with a friend.
Since you’re still on vacation, we’re making things easier for you with a little checklist of the 10 must-have souvenirs to bring back from your stay in the Baronnies Provençales in Buis-les-Baronnies:
Lavender
Of course, the first thing to pack in your suitcase is a small lavender sachet, bought on Wednesday morning at the Provençal market in Buis-les-Baronnies.
The AOP Nyons olive
A bottle of olive oil and an apricot nectar from the Brunots orchards. At the end of your visit to their farm, you can purchase your bottles or even a larger canister. And if you didn’t buy enough, don’t worry—you can order more online. How convenient!
The Apricots of the Baronnies
During your breakfast, you loved the apricots from the Baronnies, sourced from Franck Bec (SCEA Le Pouzet). You can head to Saint Auban sur Ouvèze to buy a crate of our Baronnies treasures and try to make it last until you return to share with your family.
An Elixir of the Baronnies
To impress your friends at your barbecue once you’re back from vacation, there’s nothing better than a small glass of Elixir des Baronnies that you brought back from the Nicoleau Distillery in Benivay-Ollon. And since they will all love it, you can place a group order directly online.
However, please note that excessive alcohol consumption is harmful to health.
The little spelt
Your brother-in-law is a chef? Then impress him by bringing back some spelt from GAEC Gramoureau and Mazelière in Sainte-Jalle. You can prepare him a spelt risotto following Delphine’s recipe, the cook at the Cloître des Dominicains! This recipe is even featured in a book by Cap Franc.
The Coco beans from Mollans
You’ve never had Coco beans from the Drôme Provençale? Head to Mollans sur Ouvèze to buy the famous Coco beans from Mollans! You’ll also find plenty of other local products from the Drôme region.
Herbal teas made from local products.
Not sure what to bring back for Grandma? At the reception of the Cloître des Dominicains, you’ll find teas and herbal infusions from Tisane des Dauphins. If you’d like even more options, you can order directly from their website.
A local beer
Your neighbor watched over your house during your stay! You thought of them while enjoying a nice BivouaK beer at our bar. During your Thursday morning market tour in Nyons, stop by the Brasserie des Tilleuls to pick up a sample of our local beers for them. Remember, alcohol is always harmful to health. And for unlimited updates, you can follow them on Facebook and get ready for your next BivouaK moments during your stay in Buis-les-Baronnies.
The rich honey from our flowers.
Did you taste the Lavender or Lime Blossom Honey from Serre Paulet at our breakfast buffet? Feel free to pick up a jar of honey from our Baronnies Provençales at the Buis-les-Baronnies market on Wednesday morning. And if Aunt Ginette ends up eating the whole jar, you can order more online!
The Spirulina Made in Baronnies
And to stay in shape all winter while waiting to return to the beautiful Baronnies Provençales and our Cloître des Dominicains next year, go and get our 100% local spirulina in Sainte-Euphémie-sur-Ouvèze. Like many of our local products, you can also place an order online.
